Dictionary of the New Latin Psalter of the Pope Pius XII by Rev. William J. Konus
This excellent little dictionary was created to assist those reciting the the Psalter of Pope Pius XII (sometimes referred to as the "Pian Psalter" or "Bea Psalter") found in most Breviaries and texts of the Divine Office after 1945. The Pian Psalter was a fresh translation from the Hebrew and the Latin follows a more Classical style. While not intended to be a comprehensive lexicon for the Psalter, this work fills a void in the selection of the Latin dictionaries as it is specifically suited to it's purpose. As the author states in the preface: " A hurried and unintelligible reading of the Psalms can cause a distaste for the word of God."
